ABOUT US

ABOUT US

Our Company

District Mobile Dental is a concierge oral healthcare company providing house call dental services in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Our goal is to remove barriers to care by bringing modern portable dental equipment into your home and providing care where it is most safe, comfortable and accessible.

What makes us different than other house call oral healthcare providers is that we provide a full scope of services with as little as 24 hours notice. This is a huge advantage over once per month "dental days" as the needs of every client vary and dental emergencies require immediate attention. Providing the same services you would access at a brick and mortar dental practice, including x-rays (that are digitally presented on a laptop for immediate diagnosis), crown & bridge, fillings, dentures, and more, ensures that our clients have the best quality of life possible. This is an important distinction as other providers will often only provide "comfort care" (small restorations and cleanings), which can lead to decreased ability to chew and speak properly.

The Importance of Regular Oral Healthcare

90% of all systemic diseases have oral manifestations, signs and symptoms; including diabetes, pancreatic cancer, heart disease and kidney disease.

Poor oral health has been linked to pneumonia in older adults. By breathing in bacterial droplets from the mouth to the lungs, older adults are more susceptible to the condition.

Medications, or treatments that reduce saliva flow, and antibiotics that disrupt the normal balance of bacteria in your mouth can also compromise your mouth's normal defenses, allowing these bacteria to enter your bloodstream.

When teeth are lost and not replaced with false teeth, the rest of the teeth have a tendency to drift and shift into open spaces creating an uneven jawbone, which in turn can create appearance and bite issues.

Digestion begins with physical and chemical processes in the mouth, and problems here can lead to intestinal failure, irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive disorders.

Treatment will be performed only when responsible parties have signed an authorization outlining treatment and any associated fees.

Reduce your number of falls. Residents will receive care in their private residence and have the option of receiving care in their bed or wheelchair if the need arises.
